Why Don’t Public Officials Get Things DONE?

If, you are like, many others, who study the history, heritage and past, of this nation, and realize, the same topics, are repeated, over – and – over, again, often, without any quality, viable solutions, and related actions, performed, etc! Why do we keep, seeing, public officials, either, not ready, willing, and/ or, able, to get what, should be prioritized, DONE? Why do politicians, so rarely, transform – themselves, to quality statesmen, after they were elected, but, rather, continue focusing on their personal/ political agendas, and self – interest, rather than the greater good? While, some issues, may be, political (or partly, so), in – nature, many should be based on, common sense, and achieving true priorities, in a well – considered, timely manner? With, that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it matters.

1. Delve deeply; discover; deliver: Don’t we deserve to be guided by the expertise, of real experts, instead of the rhetoric, and empty promises, too often, observed? Elected officials must delve deeply, for the greater good, and seek to discover, the difference between facts, and perceptions, as well as priorities, instead of self – interests? Voters must, consistently, demand, officials, deliver, no – less, and are held to the highest standards, based on achieving what needs to be addressed, today, rather than put – off, until tomorrow!

2. Options; opportunities; open – mind; organized; objective; objectives: It takes an objective evaluation, and an open – mind, to recognize and consider, various options and alternatives, in order to be prepared to take advantage of the finest opportunities! This evaluation must be an objective one, if it is to address the relevant, sustainable objectives! Great public officials, see the bigger – picture, and, realize, to achieve things, in a well – considered, timely way, requires a consistently, organized approach, and effective planning!

3. Needs; nerve; now: The needs of the nation, planet, and all our citizens (not only one’s supporters/ followers), must take precedence, over political considerations! A great leader has the nerve, to take a stand, and proceed, now, rather than resort to procrastination!

4. Endurance; excellence; efforts; expertise; empathy; enrich: It takes the combination of endurance, persistence, and seeking the utmost degree of personal excellence, to ensure the finest efforts! We must elect leaders, with real expertise, and genuine empathy, and who, prioritize, enriching the people, who elected him, to serve and represent the future’s best – interests!

Wake up, America, and demand, public officials, get, priorities DONE, achieved, and addressed, in a well – considered, timely manner! Will you become a more responsible, responsive voter?
